如果拿到罰單該怎麼辦??

前幾天我看到MJ麻麻說她拿到一張罰單,而且還不少錢, 就想到我之前跟同事討論到她上次拿罰單解決的方法.

或許有人已經知道, 不過, 我住美國那麼久, 也從沒這樣做過...希望對你們有幫助

基本上, 如果你是第一次拿罰單的話, 去上TRAFFIC SCHOOL 以前, 切記要先去要求減低罰款,

不要白白的就給她付掉了. 我們家大爺上次就是白白付掉, 去上課後發現, 他是唯一一個付全額的!


This is what you can do... let me tell you exactly what my Co-Worker told me,

A) If you want to fight for it (I mean you know that the officer who gives you ticket wouldn't come), you can just call the court clerk to schedule a trial...

B) otherwise, if you want to just go ahead do the traffic school, then call the court clerk and schedule for arraignment. (This is the term you have to use). The court clerk will ask a date you want to go, and when that date comes, go to the court and listen to the procedure inside the courtroom, there would be lots of people too so you won't be alone.

When it comes to your turn, YOU can plead guilty or no contest, and request for reduction. No contest means plead guilty, but the traffic ticket won't be put against you in case you commit a crime in the coming future.

When YOU plead guilty, say "reduction in bail please"... then the judge will reduce it for YOU!

MOST PPL get Bail reduction when you request it, so Please don't hesitate to ASK!!!
